Sorry for anyone with delicate sensibilities... I had a colleague once give me disgusted looks any time I dropped an F bomb (of course nowhere near children) because it wasn't 'ladylike'. Guy, wearing pants isn't technically ladylike, but here we are. Anyway, I imagine this is what Delilah and Madeline say every morning when they wake up, because things have just been chaos. I had the GIF queued up not this past Thursday, but the Thursday before, in preparation for last Monday, and then last week happened and we lost it... It was going to be a busy week anyway, but Delilah came down with her first fever Sunday night and was clingy and cranky for the rest of the week. The fever lasted probably until we woke up on Wednesday, but we had PT Monday, early intervention on Wednesday, and standard baby bloodwork Thursday morning. One Year of Madeline + Delilah

Madeline & Delilah, I am a mom because of you. When you were born, we measured your milestones in days without bradycardia events, graduating from isolette to crib to bassinet, no longer needing a cpap machine to keep your oxygen levels up, and having your feeding tube removed. Now, we measure your milestones by how much trouble you get yourselves into with your newfound ability to crawl and climb. You are no longer the 2lb 14 oz and 3lb 4 oz preemies that came into the world one year ago today, but 20-ish pound, solid babies, who have caught up to your actual-age peers' weights. You laugh the best belly laughs when we tickle you and give you kisses, or when we toss you up in the air. We love your curiosity at the world around you - maybe a little nosey, but I call it endearing. Your lack of mobility caused frustration a few months ago, but you persevered and grew and worked at it, and now I can hardly keep up with two on-the-move twins. You like to point and poke faces

Happy Due Date Anniversary!

It's been awhile since I've updated, school has just gotten progressively more and more unbearable as we get closer to the end of the year, and for the last few weeks, I've been very consumed with party preparations. BUT, as it's actually before 9pm and I have a minute (ignoring those dozens of google classroom notifications and emails asking 'how do I get my grade up?'...), I thought a post on our due date was fitting. It's been amazing watching these two girls the last few months - it seems like they grow by leaps and bounds. Even just making their birthday posters, they already had reached new milestones after I had already created the text and couldn't go back to update them! The girls are currently One Year (corrected) today!/ one year + 2 months (actual). On their actual birthday, they could finally sit up unassisted, kneel and stand with support, army crawl (Delilah was much faster than her sister, who was a little behind on learning how),
