Everyone's screaming =(

Picture it, 1912, Sicily..
Not really..  It's 4am, and you hear your baby juuust starting to stir.  You know that crying is a late-stage sign of crying, so you decide to jump on that baby-feeding train before she wakes up the whole house.  You get a bottle ready, change her diaper, and settle in to your cozy chair for a nice, calm nighttime feeding sesh.

All is well, until your other baby decides they need to eat RIGHT NOW.  You look down at the baby you're holding and realize it's the slowpoke - you're going to be stuck there for what feels like hours, and you can't move because she's also super fussy about eating, and as soon as that bottle pops out of her mouth, it ain't going back in until maybe sometime later, maybe she'll wait until you're back in bed and juuust starting to drift off again, and she'll start screaming to remind you she's hungry and didn't get to finish!  So no, you can't stop feeding this baby right now, the other one will just have to wait.  But she doesn't want to, she's screaming bloody murder - how has this not woken Grant up?  Is he dead??  The baby you're holding decides now is a good time to choke on reflux - she sputters, knocks the bottle out of your hand and starts wailing.  Two babies screaming at once, oh my god this is miserable.  You burp the baby in your lap a few times and rock her until she's not so hysterical - do I have earbuds nearby?  Your other baby is still going.  You continue the feed for another fifteen minutes, praying she finishes the bottle before falling asleep, grab the earbuds that have found their way under the chair cushion, and find a nice spotify playlist of beach noises and wave sounds to drown out the sound of a screaming baby while you hold the one in your arms upright for another 15 minutes (because reflux).  Before she drifts off to sleep in your lap she looks at you and says, "same time tomorrow?" and you nod because you are sleep deprived and delusional.

Here's a sample of Madeline crying while I was feeding Delilah (who was making a couple of weird sounds...).  This was from a regular daytime feeding and Maddie isn't as hysterical as she can be, but I wanted to share something similar.
